DSA successfully carries out the management system activities (TS-EN-ISO 9001 Quality Management System and TS-ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System) on the subject of food hygiene and product safety in its premix and feed additives plant since 2008 and besides this, has started working in 2009 to implement FAMI-QS European Feed Additives and Premixtures Quality System.

It is found that our company is aware of its position in food and feed chain and has successfully carried out all activities required for product quality and product safety and it is entitled for FAMI-QS European Feed Additives and Premixtures Quality System Certificate.

What is Fami-Qs?

European Union Feed Hygiene Regulation (183/2005) has formed a general hygiene and safety system for all elements present in the feed production chain and feed additive and feed premix producers are also included in this system.

The members of this system have developed the directive 1831/2003/EC to set their products within the system and made the necessary authorization of audit and supervision firms out of the sector to implement this code and established an automatically running audit mechanism and this system is established in the organization called FAMI-QS assembly for follow-up.

Recently standards of the system shows a structure in accordance with general good production, hygiene procedures and other quality systems applied in the market and highlights the precautions specific to the sector in production and hygiene procedures.

Food safety and public health compose a significant part of European Union legislation. In Turkey during EU process, especially this legislation should be considered and implemented in the controls and audits of all stages from the farm to the table to protect public health from the hazards that may originate from foods.

FAMI-QS (European Feed Additives and Premixtures Quality System) which is a quality Management System formed under Feed Hygiene Regulation (183/2005) reduces the risks causing the reduction of additive and premix quality involved in feed chain by various measurements and tracking in the production and storage process in accordance with its purpose and in this way meets the requirements of legal regulations.
